Beautiful KK - Sabah Floating Mosque

Sabah Floating Mosque

Located about 3 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu City, the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque or famous known as Sabah Floating Mosque is the largest mosque in Kota Kinabalu City and is even possibly the most beautiful in Malaysia. The architectural design was based on the Nabawi Mosque, the second holliest site in Islam, in Medina, Saudi Arabia. The dome is blue and gold, inspired by similiar Arabic architecture.

Paddle Boats Rides was introduced in 2008.
It has a maximum capacity of 12,000 worshipers. The mosque features an ATM, souvenirs shop, a palliative care clinic and in a joint project with Unversiti Malaysia Sabah - a fish farm. In 2008, the mosque introduced paddle boat rides, from which visitors could see the mosque from the water, a mosque committee member stated that this was to "make the mosque more relevant to the community's life encompassing religion, economy and social aspects".

Souvenir Shop
Rules to obey before entering the mosque.

The mosque may be visited by non- Muslims, except during prayers. No entrance fee would be charged but visitors are required to wear modest clothing. There would be Jubah for  rent in the souvenir shop in only RM 2.00 per jubah. Men, Women and kids are available.

Eateries in Kota Kinabalu - Piggy's Pork Satay

Araimaiti Restaurant, a perfect place for those who likes to stay late night and supper with "kedai kopi" style. They do serve Chinese and Western dishes and not to forgets BEERS and LIQUORS! Located in Donggongon, Penampang and drive 20 minutes from Kota Kinabalu City. Well, since I live in Donggongon area, I always come here for supper if I get hungry during late night. ( Not a good diet haha..) I don't really like to stay at Mamak because I got a little bit choosey.

So, I'm going to show you one of my favy dishes in Aramaiti Restaurant, Pork Satay. Yep.. simple yet delicious. Sometimes fried rice would be very heavy for me for supper, so Pork Satay is a good idea.

Piggy's Pork Satay
The price? RM 1.30 one stick. Well, the price is quite okay for me. Standard perhaps. Maybe a little bit expensive than other satay since it was Pork meat.

The Kiosk - Booking & Take Aways also available.
BOOKING and TAKE AWAY are also available. Just contact the number above and LIKE their Facebook page. Well, KKians?? What are you waiting for? Aramaiti BAH! :)
